From that small beginning, the Great Lakes Grand Banks Owners
Association has grown to over 100 members, with boats
representing almost all categories of yachts built by Grand Banks over its 50 year corporate history.
We are privileged to have the original "Spray" as one of our member boats.
After serving an East Coast family
for years, Spray came to the Great Lakes in the 1960's and is now lovingly cared for by one of our members.
She is the center of attention when she appears at our rendezvous events. Click on the Spray icon to see
a screen-sized photo of Spray.
And, we call your attention to the May 2007 edition of Lakeland Boating Magazine, where on pages 54 and 55 you'll find a most interesting article about "Spray". It was written by Reagan Haynes, and tells the story of "a man who purchases a Grand Banks prototype he dreamed of owning as a kid".
GLGBOA is grateful to the following six individuals whose foresight and dedication created an organization of shared
interests and values which endures and prospers today.
